It's time for the first round of the 2015 Extreme Tournament, and two skilled players battle it out for a chance to advance to the semifinals and claim the title. First up is Mai Shirai, who despite not being selected for the rookie championship tournament, went on to debut in a MIX match against a male wrestler, showcasing exceptional skills with a brainbuster and a shining wizard kick for a decisive win. If she had participated in the rookie tournament, there's no doubt she would have been crowned champion. But now she has her chance to shine in the Extreme Tournament, and she'll face off against Rina Uchimura. Although Rina is a newcomer who just debuted recently, she was scouted by BATTLE as a promising hope for the tournament. In a MIX match against a male wrestler, she demonstrated her incredible athleticism and skill with a variety of dazzling techniques, surviving even a brutal assault on her lower back to earn a spot in the tournament.
It's a shame that two of the top contenders have to face each other in the first round, risking elimination before they can reach the finals. But they both have too much pride to back down, and they'll engage in a no-holds-barred battle of skills and willpower.
